Our approach
DigiCode is a small business. Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), businesses with an annual turnover of $3 million or less are generally exempt from most obligations under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). That exemption likely applies to us — but we've chosen to align our practices with the APPs anyway. How we handle your information should be something you can trust, not something we're legally forced into.
What we collect
When you fill out a request form on this site, you can optionally provide your name, email address, Discord username, mobile number, and details about your project. Every one of those fields is optional — you choose what to share, and you can leave any of it blank.
We don't collect sensitive information (health, financial, or government ID details) through this site, and we'd ask that you not include any in the free-text fields either.
How we collect it
Our request forms don't submit to a server. When you click "Checkout" or "Confirm & Send Order," your browser opens a pre-filled email in your own email app, addressed to developerteam@digi-code.com.au. You choose whether to actually send it. We only ever see what you send us — the same as any other email.
Your shopping cart
If you add a build or a management plan to your cart, that selection is saved using your browser's local storage — a small amount of data kept on your own device. It is never transmitted to us, or to anyone else, unless and until you click a checkout button that opens an email. Clearing your browser data, or clicking "Clear cart," removes it completely.
How we use your information
We use whatever you send us for one purpose: to understand your project and get back to you about it. We don't use it for advertising, we don't build a profile of you, and we don't sell or share it with data brokers.
Where your information goes
Nowhere, unless you send it. This site has no backend server and no database. There is no admin panel, no customer records system, and no third party with standing access to anything you type into these forms. The only copy that exists is the one that lands in our own inbox — if and when you choose to send it.
Our contact list (email only)
If you ever choose to sign up to hear from us in the future — for example, a mailing list — we will only ever store your email address for that purpose. We don't store your name, phone number, project details, or anything else alongside it unless you separately email it to us. We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone else.
Cookies & tracking
We don't use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising pixels on this site. The only thing stored in your browser is your shopping cart (see above), which you control and can clear at any time.
Future payments (Stripe)
When online payment goes live, card and payment details will be handled directly by Stripe, a third-party payment processor, and will never be stored, seen, or handled by us. Stripe's own privacy policy will apply to that part of the process.
Security
Because we don't store your personal information on any server, there's no database for anyone to breach. The information you send us lives in our email inbox, protected the same way you'd protect your own email account.
Accessing, correcting, or deleting your information
If you've previously emailed us and want to know what we hold, have it corrected, or ask us to delete it, just email developerteam@digi-code.com.au and we'll action your request as quickly as we can.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, tell us first at developerteam@digi-code.com.au — we'll do our best to make it right. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site and our services grow. The date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
